The NYPR Archive Collections | Jan 1, 2000

Virgilia Peterson interviews Harding Lemay on Dr. Robert Elliot Fitch's book "The Decline and Fall of Sex." Dr. Fitch is dean of the Pacific School of Religion. They review Fitch's arguments and the treatment of love and sex in novels of the past and present to determine if there are differences to be found in treatments of sex in literature and in society over time.
